Quality Electrodynamics is searching for an Electronics Repair Technician
An electronics repair technician performs electrical trouble-shooting, assembly, and test operations per documented procedures and industry standards using hand tools and a variety of test equipment while following safety and quality guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform electrical trouble-shooting and repair of medical devices
- Document the repair of medical devices per FDA regulations
- Maintain organization and cleanliness using 5S and LEAN principles
- Contribute to building a culture of cooperation and teamwork
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in electronics technology or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in trouble-shooting electronics at the component level and testing of subsystems
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Ability to use specialized test equipment (such as network analyzer, power supply, etc.)
- Ability to perform intricate electrical and mechanical disassembly and re-assembly
- Ability to use hand tools (such as soldering iron, torque driver, wire strippers, etc.)
- Ability to follow electrical schematics and troubleshooting guidelines
- Ability to read and comprehend work procedures/instructions
- Basic computer experience (Internet browser based text entry and navigation)
- Basic soldering experience
- Must successfully complete hands-on solder training within the introductory period
Preferred
- Previous experience performing repair activities on electrical devices
- Experience working within a manufacturing or repair facility
- Familiarity with industry standards (IPC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
