Quality Electrodynamics is searching for a Mechanical Engineer Student Co-op

JOB SUMMARY

A Mechanical Engineer Co-op role is an educational opportunity for an Engineering student to work alongside senior engineers in the design and development of mechanical components and solutions for RF Coils utilized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This role will be responsible for individual and team assignments and will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, manufacture and service complex MRI systems and components throughout all phases of the product development life cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in the Mechanical design and analysis of RF coils
  2. Verification and validation of mechanical design, including supporting engineering builds and testing
  3. Failure analysis of mechanical components
  4. Exposure to manufacturing processes, including 3D printing

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Third or fourth year student majoring in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or related field
  • Prior professional internships, relevant lab or university experience a plus
  • Basic SolidWorks experience a plus

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fast learner with ability to multitask
