JOB SUMMARY
The Senior HR Generalist–Talent Acquisition is responsible for bringing qualified people into the organization. Plans and runs all the organization’s hiring activities according to the organization’s current and projected job vacancies. Ensures the future employees have the right characteristics to fit in well with the organization. In addition to overseeing recruitment, the Senior HR Generalist will also assist HR management in maintaining the daily activities of the HR department serving as a knowledgeable resource in areas of employee relations, policy interpretation, benefits and compensation administration and legal compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists HR management to develop strategies and plans for talent acquisition
- Ensure assigned positions are filled efficiently and effectively
- Works with managers to develop and update job descriptions
- Creates job ads and manages posts on job boards, such as LinkedIn, Indeed, company’s website etc.
- Sources and screens active and passive candidates to fill open positions
- Proactively identifies and maintains talent pipelines and sources for existing and future hiring needs
- Develops, evaluates and leads interview, assessment and selection techniques and processes
- Coaches business partners on effective interviewing methods
- Manages and communicates with candidates throughout the process to provide an excellent candidate experience
- Manages the employment offer process, including preparing and presenting offers, conducting reference and background checks
- Initiates 30/60/90 day onboarding and engagement plan for new hires with input from hiring managers
- Facilitates orientation for new employees and perform exit interviews for employees leaving the organization
- Serves as an ambassador of QED’s culture and promotes the company’s brand both internally and externally
- Networks with educational institutions, vocational and workforce placement programs and professional industry groups to promote company and build relationships to support talent pipeline
- Plans, organizes and attends career fairs and related events
- Provides input on continuous improvement to the full talent acquisition cycle and make recommendations for new recruitment technologies and approaches
- Ensures compliance to state/federal employment laws and QED’s policies and practices
- Performs other HR Generalist duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Human Resources or business related field
- 5+ years’ experience recruiting and sourcing in a Human Resources role or in Talent Acquisition
- Previous experience engaging in talent and culture-related work
Skills and Abilities

- Must have general HR knowledge
- Intermediate to advance proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Requires a high degree of professional integrity, confidentiality and sound judgement

Preferred
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment practices, assessments, evaluations and employer branding techniques
- Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
- Possess understanding of general compensation guidelines
