Quality Electrodynamics is searching for a Senior HR Generalist – Talent Management

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior HR Generalist – Talent Management is responsible for partnering with senior management to develop and implement talent management programs that improves staffing and talent development outcomes, and promotes employee engagement.  The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for bringing qualified people into the organization. Plans and runs all the organization’s hiring activities according to the organization’s current and projected job vacancies. Ensures future employees have the right characteristics to fit in well with the organization and supports management with development needs of teams and individuals to support growth in career tracks. In addition to overseeing talent management, the Senior HR Generalist will also assist HR management in maintaining the daily activities of the HR department serving as a knowledgeable resource in areas of employee relations, policy interpretation, benefits and compensation administration and legal compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists HR management to develop strategies and plans for talent acquisition and talent development
  • Coaches business partners on effective interviewing methods
  • Provides input on continuous improvement to the full talent acquisition cycle and make recommendations for new recruitment technologies and approaches
  • Conducts regular talent reviews to ensure succession planning for major roles at all levels
  • Proactively identifies and maintains external and internal talent pipelines for all levels
  • Sources and screens active and passive candidates to fill existing and future open positions efficiently and effectively
  • Develops, evaluates and leads interview, assessment and selection techniques and processes
  • Develops career pathing programs and identifies and recommends training resources to improve development outcomes
  • Networks with educational institutions, vocational and workforce placement programs and professional industry groups to promote company and build relationships to support talent pipeline
  • Works with managers to develop and update job descriptions
  • Plans, organizes and attends career fairs and related events
  • Serves as an ambassador of QED’s culture and promotes the company’s brand both internally and externally
  • Manages onboarding process including preparing and presenting offers, conducting reference and background checks and new employee orientation
  • Communicates with candidates throughout the process to provide an excellent candidate experience
  • Initiates 30/60/90 day onboarding and engagement plan for new hires with input from hiring managers
  • Assists with the development and administration of human resources policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance to state/federal employment laws and QED’s policies and practices
  • Maintains HRIS records utilizing the payroll service provider

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Human Resources or business related field
  • 5+ years’ experience recruiting and sourcing in a full-time Human Resources practitioner role or in Talent Acquisition
  • Previous experience engaging in talent and culture-related work

Skills and Abilities

Required

  • Must have general HR knowledge
  • Intermediate to advance proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Requires a high degree of professional integrity, confidentiality and sound judgement
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment practices, assessments, evaluations and employer branding techniques
  • Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
  • Possess understanding of general compensation guidelines

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
