Staff Accountant QED Career

Searching for a well-rounded accountant who will be responsible for transactional accounting and analysis including daily accounts payable & accounts receivable processing.  Additional responsibilities include customer communications, inventory reconciliation, account review, cost roll-up, project tracking & reporting. The accountant should be a flexible team player who is able to work across departments to streamline processes and ensure accurate financial results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review customer purchase orders and create internal sales orders
  • Prepare accounts receivable invoices including required documentation and correspondence
  • Process accounts payable invoices against purchase order entries
  • Reconcile aged vendor receipts/accrued purchases
  • Monitor vendor activity including remit to changes, statements and other correspondence
  • Process internal credits for vendor returns and inventory adjustments
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with resolution
  • Other duties include filing, assisting accounting team with ad hoc reporting, etc.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Experience as an Accountant (3 years +)
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Must be a team player with good documentation skills
  • Individual must be detailed, accurate, deadline-oriented with strong problem solving abilities
  • Exhibit a high degree of professional integrity, ethics, and confidentiality

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Previous manufacturing environment and/or medical device industry experiencE
