Quality Electrodynamics is searching for a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator

JOB SUMMARY

An SMT Operator is responsible for set-up, operation, basic maintenance and data recording of automated assembly (SMT) equipment.  Also performs hand soldering of printed circuit boards as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform assembly operations per documented procedures and applicable standards
  • Follow all safety and ESD guidelines
  • Ensure good organization and cleanliness of work bench and manufacturing area
  • Contribute to building a culture of cooperation and teamwork

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Experience in electronics assembly

Skills and Abilities

Required

  • Basic soldering experience
  • Basic computer experience
  • Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions
  • Ability to perform intricate electrical and/or mechanical assembly
  • Must successfully complete hands-on solder training within the introductory period

Preferred

  • Soldering of surface mount components on printed circuit boards
  • Familiarity with industry standards
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
