Quality Electrodynamics is searching for a Warehouse Associate
The Warehouse Associate position is responsible for completing administrative and other activities in the Warehouse areas and throughout the plant. Work responsibilities include, material logistics, inventory control, work order preparation and processing, packaging, shipping scheduling, shipping and receiving dock and other general plant support activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct material receiving transactions per procedure using provided equipment
- Complete inventory replenishment and fulfillment activities including material handling, counting, kitting and electronic transactions using provided technology and equipment
- Prepare and process plant work order documentation and other associated assigned processing steps throughout the work order lifecycle (e.g. printing, closure, filing)
- Print manufacturing work orders and assembly orders for Manufacturing Department
- Close manufacturing work orders using ERP system
- Print serial number labels for finished goods
- Close Repair Department work orders
- Participate in inventory accuracy efforts including cycle counting, physical inventory and variance root cause analysis which drives improvements to reach goals and objective targets
- Perform any necessary inventory adjustments
- Complete general plant activities as requested by supervisor, which may include cleaning, maintenance and equipment/material relocation
- Unload and load trucks using proper equipment, techniques and safety precautions
- Ensure proper handling, control, transport and storage of materials per requirements
- Package items and products according to requester and procedural requirements
- Complete item and product shipping activities including shipment scheduling and logistics documentation
- Log and clean returned product, using established procedures and safety requirements
- Contribute to a clean and safe plant work environment. Participate in the culture of cooperation and teamwork through initiatives that implement improvements throughout the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to two years shipping and receiving or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Knowledge of material control systems, warehousing/bins, logistics and material flow in a manufacturing operation
- Excellent computer skills
- Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Preferred
- Knowledge of UPS / FedEx shipping software
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Able to climb stairs repeatedly
